Export sales: 2021 is the year of the rebound

ACCORDING TO THE LATEST ISTAT DATA, THE EXPORT SALES OF NON-DURABLE CONSUMER GOODS  IN JUNE 2021 HAS INCREASED OF + 15.2% SINCE 2020.
Export: 2021 is the year of the rebound. According to the latest ISTAT (Italian National Institute of Statistics) data, the export of non-durable consumer goods, of which food represents a large part, in June 2021 recorded an increase of + 15.2% in the last year and of 11.5% in the last semester. It is also expected that by the end of 2021 the goal of 50 billion, set in 2020 and blocked by the pandemic, will be reached.
After a very hard year and a half  for the Italian food industry among other sectors, these is finally a piece of news that repays all the efforts that the sector has made until today. An achievement that shows how strategic an asset are food export sales for the country and how important it is to make investments to promote them. Among the markets to which Italy has exported the most are the USA, which recorded + 6.4% in the January-April period, Germany (+ 2.8%) and France (+2.0 %), but  markets in the Far East, such as China (+ 50.2%), Korea (+ 52.4%), Vietnam (+ 37.3%) and Malaysia (+ 36.6%) have also been showing important signs of growth.
As regards the world of Parmigiano Reggiano and Grana Padano, ISTAT notes, for the period January-July 2021, an increase in volumes of 4.9% vs the previous eyar. Among the main countries involved in this growth, we find the USA (+ 16.1% vol.) and Germany (+ 3.5% vol.), while the United Kingdom is last, falling by 12.3%.
Agriform and Parmareggio maintain the growth rates of the market, confirming the volume share. In particular with the United States, leading area, with an increase of two percentage points.
